The Basics
Your first 2 weeks with us is a "on-ramp" of sorts. We call it our "Basics Program". It takes some time for your bodyto adjust to all the different movements, increased demand of energy, and to start the good habits in nutrition, and healthy lifestyle choices. The first 2 weeks of your crossfit membership will be spent in the Basics class. Here, we focus on proper form and technique of basic lifting movements including, squating with load, pressing load, and dynamically moving weight quickly, as in a single lift from ground to overhead. We also orient you to functional ways to build your cardiovascular and respiratory endurance, muscular stamina, and athletic skills with minimal equipment. Form is everything when it comes to preventing injury and improving the body's ability to lift heavier loads, and we want to be sure you are "dialed in" before progressing to our CrossFit Open class. Intensity is NOT the priority, but rather a outcome of these taught fitness skills.
ANY CLASS, IN ANY GYM, CAN GIVE YOU A HARD "WORKOUT", BUT FEW WILL ACTUALLY GIVE YOU THE SKILLS TO DEVELOP THIS FITNESS ON YOUR OWN, OR TO SAFELY EXERT A TRUE MAXIMAL EFFORT.

- Full access to our expert staff. We are very diversified, knowledgeable, and eager to help you learn.
We truly understand that you are probably not coming into this program as an elite athlete. You may even be taking your very first steps toward your fitness with us. Our expert staff of coaches are here to program exactly what you need, and scale the workouts up or down. We are happy to work with your Doctor or Physical Therapist, to support your continued growth toward optimal health. You will always be given coaching to build your athleticism as completely as possible.
